On the afternoon of August 23, 2007, Mr. Juho Rissanen, Counselor (Science and Technology) of Embassy of Finland and Chief Representative of Tekes (Finnish Funding Agency for Technology and Innovation) visited International Technology Transfer Center (ITTC). Dr. Hongxin Tan - President of ITTC met Mr. Juho Rissanen.

Tekes, the Finnish Funding Agency for Technology and Innovation is the main government financing and expert organization for research and technological development in Finland. Tekes finances industrial R&D projects as well as projects in universities and research institutes. Tekes especially promotes innovative, risk-intensive projects.
During the meeting, Dr. Tan gave an introduction to technology transfer system of Tsinghua University, Mr. Juho Rissanen introduced Tekes. Then the two parties discussed the possibility of future cooperation. At the end of the meeting, both parties hoped to enter into cooperation relations in the near future and launch some concrete projects which will make contribution to the collaboration between Chinese enterprises and Finnish enterprises.
