IPTEC 2008, the International Marketplace & Conference for Business Development through Technology Transfer, was held from June 11 to 12 in Frankfurt, Germany. International Technology Transfer Center (ITTC) attended this event. Deputy General Manager of ITTC and Executive Vice President of Coway International TechTrans Co., Ltd. – Dr. Zhengping LIU was invited to give two separate speeches entitled “Technology Transfer in China” and “Emerging Global Markets for Technology Transfer” at IPTEC 2008. Dr. Liu’s speeches focused on the development, current situation and trend of technology transfer in China as well we the business model, practices and experience of Coway International TechTrans Co., Ltd. which attracted great interest from audiences.

IPTEC is the international marketplace designed to assist companies and organizations develop their technology licensing business. It acts as a technology transfer meeting point for multinational companies, SMEs, universities and public sector organizations. IPTEC is an annual event and this is the third one. IPTEC2008 focuses upon two main themes: The latest transfer trends and techniques, and developments in emerging markets, e.g. China. Transfer of environmental technology: “Licensing green technology” . More than 150 key players from above 100 companies, universities and research institutions in the field of technology transfer and intellectual property management gathered in Frankfurt this year, including Bayer Innovation, CIP, ESA, Ericsson, IRC Network, Microsoft, NASA, Philips, Stanford University and Unilever etc.
